FILL Care Foundation holds annual Ramadan lecture, gives cash palliative to widow

A Non-Governmental Organization, Fabulous Ilorin Ladies (FILL) Care Foundation on Sunday, March 31st held their annual Ramadan Lecture and distribution of Ramadan Cash Palliative to Widows and vulnerable as part of their efforts to provide succor for the fewer privileged in society.
FILL Care Foundation is a registered NGO that was co-founded by Hajiya Asmau Bimpe Yusuf, the National President and CEO of De-pals Care Foundation.
The foundation which has been in existence for more than 8 years, is aimed to cater to the social change and development of underprivileged individuals in the community.
FILL care members cut across the length and breadth of the universe Ilorin indigene and wives.
The Chairperson of the occasion, Hajiya Muheebah Baker who is also the Ramadan committee chairperson, in her opening remarks, said that one of the aims of the association is to ensure that our children are protected from experiencing domestic violence and abuse in society.
Hajiya Muheebah explained that their intervention programs such as Cash Palliative support for widows, medical outreach, education sponsoring and empowering young females, and many more were funded through the contributions of the members of the association, noting that “our association is a non governmental, therefore, plead that the token be accepted with love, while calling on well-meaning individuals, government and organisations to fund our activities to enable us reach out more families and communities.
She however urged the mothers present to always advise, educate, and ensure proper monitoring of their children.
Meanwhile, the Guest Lecturer Ustaza Rasheedat Sulyman, who delivered the lecture on Patience advised the attendees to inculcate in their female children the habit of being patient as that will impede them from chasing and focusing on the luxury of life at an early age.
Ustaza Rasheedat who commended the Fabulous Ilorin Lady’s care for their kind gestures, urged the beneficiaries to reward the FILL care foundation by remembering them in their prayers.
The beneficiaries in their numbers appreciated FILL Care Foundation for their intervention, describing the gesture as a timely one to them.
Some of the FILL Care members present included the organizing secretary of the association, Alhaja Maimunat Iyanda Bolajoko; Alhaja Balqees Issa Dan-Azumi, PRO Hajiya Fateemah Kuranga; Hajiya Khadijah, Executive member and Hajiya Rosheedat Gada, member of the Organizing Committee.
Other members present included Hajiya Mariam Abdulganiy, Hajiya Nimota Issa, Hajiya Adekilekun, Hajiya Mariam Yusuf, and Hajiya Jimoh Mariam.
The event which was moderated by an OAP, Mrs. Lawal Mumeenat Temitope (Mahogany presenter), took place at Raihana School, Olohunshogo, Adewole area in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital.
