FG not planning to harbour any foreign military base – Information Minister
The Federal Government has noted rumors suggesting that discussions are taking place between Nigeria and other countries about establishing foreign military bases within Nigeria.
We want to make it clear that these claims are completely untrue, and we urge the public to ignore them.
There are no ongoing talks with any foreign nation regarding the creation of military bases in Nigeria. We have neither received nor are considering any such proposals.
While Nigeria cooperates with international partners to address its security challenges, the President is focused on strengthening these partnerships to meet the security goals of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
