FG Distributes N25,000 to 3.5 Million Nigerians through Conditional Cash Transfer – Edu
This initiative, launched two months ago by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, aims to assist 15 million vulnerable households in mitigating the impact of the fuel subsidy removal.


The Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Betta Edu, announced that the Federal Government has distributed N25,000 to 3.5 million Nigerians through the conditional cash transfer scheme.
This initiative, launched two months ago by President Bola Tinubu’s administration, aims to assist 15 million vulnerable households in mitigating the impact of the fuel subsidy removal.
Edu stated that an additional 4.5 million people will be covered in the coming week, bringing the total beneficiaries to approximately 8 million by year-end.
The ministry is actively verifying and expanding the beneficiary list, including individuals like retirees.
Furthermore, Edu highlighted ongoing efforts to address arrears for N-Power beneficiaries, emphasizing the government’s commitment to reducing unemployment and creating job opportunities.
