FG Declares Public Holiday for Nigeria’s 63rd Independence Day on October 2nd

The Federal Government has officially declared Monday, October 2nd, as a public holiday to mark the 63rd Independence Day celebration.
The declaration was made by Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the Minister of Interior, on behalf of the government in Abuja.
In a released statement, the Minister extended congratulations to all Nigerians, both at home and in the Diaspora, on this significant occasion.
He reassured the nation of the government’s unwavering commitment to addressing the various challenges facing the country.
The Minister acknowledged that the socio-economic and security challenges being experienced are not unique to Nigeria but part of global issues.
He emphasized the government’s dedication to confronting these challenges with all available resources until the country finds relief.
