Ferguson, Arsene Wenger inducted into EPL Hall of Fame
Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger have been inducted into the English Premier League (EPL) Hall of Fame.
The new batch of inductees was announced in a post on the league’s Twitter handle on Wednesday.
The duo are the first two managers to be inducted into the EPL Hall of Fame.
Ferguson, former manager of Manchester United, is the most successful manager in Premier League history with a record 13 titles.
The Scots managed the Red Devils to win three league titles in a row on two separate occasions throughout his 27 years in charge.
Wenger won three league titles during his 22-year spell in charge of Arsenal FC.
The Frenchman also led the Gunners to the famous “Invincible” league title in 2004, where the team finished the domestic campaign without a defeat.
The EPL Hall of Fame was launched in 2021 as “the highest individual honour awarded to players by the Premier League.”
Thierry Henry and Alan Shearer were the inaugural inductees before David Beckham, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona, Steven Gerrard, Roy Keane, and Frank Lampard completed the “Class of 2021.”
In 2022, Didier Drogba, Sergio Aguero, and Paul Scholes were added to the list alongside Vincent Kompany, Ian Wright, Peter Schmeichel, Wayne Rooney and Patrick Vieira.
