Fayose Urges PDP to Reconsider Suspending Wike
This comes after an aide to PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar suggested that Wike could be expelled in due course for challenging the party.
Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has issued a caution to leaders within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) regarding the potential suspension of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
This comes after an aide to PDP presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar suggested that Wike could be expelled in due course for challenging the party.
Fayose, in an interview on Channels TV Hard Copy, advised against taking hasty actions against Wike, emphasizing his significant influence within and beyond the PDP.
He stressed that ignoring or fighting Wike could have adverse consequences and urged the party to prioritize reconciliation to rejuvenate and advance its objectives.
Furthermore, Fayose reaffirmed his commitment to the PDP, stating that he would not switch to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), regardless of circumstances.
