FACT-CHECK : Did Femi Adebayo welcome new baby with wife?

Claims have circulated online that Hon. Femi, Ilorin Born Yoruba Artist, welcomed a new baby to his family. The claims which were in circulation since yesterday on social media accounts such as Facebook.

A Facebook post by “Àwóko Kwara” yesterday claimed that Hon. Femi welcomed a new baby.

The claim reads: “ICYMI: Ilorin-born Yoruba artist, Femi Adebayo welcome new baby”.

So far, the post has attracted 243 likes, 38 comments and 9 shares as of the time of filing this report. 

FINDINGS

Findings conducted by our reporter, Abdulsalam Oniyere show that the Ilorin-born Artist, Femi Adebayo did not welcome a new baby. 

When contacted, Abdulrahman Abdullah Kayode, a brother to Femi Adebayo, described the claim as false. 

According to him, the widely-circulated information was pulled out just to mislead the masses and misinformation from unrealistic sources.

He however urged the public to disregard any information that did not originate from any of the official social media accounts and to avoid any misleading and false information.
