Ex-Kwara Gov, Ahmed granted ₦50m Bail after days in EFCC Detention
Additionally, Ahmed is required to surrender his international passport to the court and fulfill other specified conditions.

The Federal High Court in Ilorin has granted bail to former Kwara State Governor, Abdulfattah Ahmed, setting the bail amount at ₦50,000,000 with two sureties possessing landed properties in Ilorin.
Additionally, Ahmed is required to surrender his international passport to the court and fulfill other specified conditions.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Ahmed on Friday after inviting him for questioning earlier in the week.
Journalists were not allowed access to the court proceedings. Ahmed, who served as governor from May 2011 to May 2019, is being investigated for alleged financial misconduct amounting to billions of naira during his tenure.
This isn’t the first time Ahmed has faced scrutiny; he was previously interrogated in May 2021 by the EFCC in connection with alleged misappropriation of about N9 billion during his time as governor and as the Commissioner for Finance under the administration of ex-Governor Bukola Saraki.
