Emir of Ilorin Reveals Why Daudu Yekelu Idi Adan Was Suspended
The Emir of Ilorin, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has revealed that Daudu Yekelu Idi Adan of Ilorin Emirate has been suspended for a period of three months due to his insubordination toward the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Emirate and Daudu Fagba, the Head of the Shita Ruling House.
The Emir disclosed this in a letter written by the Secretary to Ilorin Emirate Council, Alhaji S.A. Lawal, dated 21st November 2024. He noted that the suspension takes effect from 21st November 2024.
The letter reads in full: “I am directed by His Royal Highness, the Emir of Ilorin, to convey to you your suspension as Daudu Yekelu Idi Adan of Ilorin Emirate for a period of three months, effective from today, 21st November 2024.
This is due to your insubordination toward the Balogun Alanamu of Ilorin Emirate and Daudu Fagba, who is the Head of the Shita Ruling House.
Kindly acknowledge the receipt of this letter. Thank you, and God bless.”
