As part of the activities to mark this year’s Sallah celebration, The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) on Monday distributed 5kg Rice to 300 Vulnerables in Kwara State.
The Beneficiaries were selected from Ilorin west, Asa, Ilorin East, Moro and Ilorin South Local Governments Area of Kwara State.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, The National President of the Association, Alh abdullahi Babatunde Salaudeen said IEYDA has been able to impact lives with the support of sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate.
He said over two million naira was donated by a philanthropist for the empowerment of petty traders, towards success of the programme.
Also speaking, the National Publicity Secretary of the Association, Alhaji Uthman Jagunma said that it is a tradition of the association to reach out to the Vulnerables during Sallah Festivals.
Jagunma appealed to the sons and daughters of Ilorin Emirate to continue with their support towards the Association’s programmes aimed at reducing poverty in the society.
In their different remarks, beneficiaries of the gesture thanked IEYDA for their relentless concern about their welfare, especially at the time they needed help the most, Prayed Almighty Allah reward them abudantly for their kind gesture.
