Easter: FG Declares Friday, Monday as Public Holidays

The Federal Government has declared Friday, April 18, and Monday, April 21, as public holidays to celebrate Good Friday and Easter Monday.
This announcement was made on Wednesday by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, through a statement signed by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani.
Tunji-Ojo congratulated Christians across the country on the Easter celebration, urging them to reflect on the values of love, sacrifice, and hope exemplified by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
He called on Nigerians to use the Easter period to pray for peace, unity, and continued progress in the country.
The minister also reaffirmed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, emphasizing the administration’s drive toward national development and prosperity.
He encouraged citizens to embrace kindness and generosity, and to show love and support to one another.
Tunji-Ojo wished Christians a happy Easter and extended warm holiday wishes to all Nigerians.
