According to former Super Eagles international Idah Peterside, who spoke on Channels Television, some fans have warned Nwabali not to return to his club in South Africa after the AFCON tournament due to his role in preventing the South African team from reaching the finals.


Stanley Nwabali, the goalkeeper for Chippa United in South Africa and a member of the Super Eagles, has reportedly faced threats from South African fans after his outstanding performance against their national team.
According to former Super Eagles international Idah Peterside, who spoke on Channels Television, some fans have warned Nwabali not to return to his club in South Africa after the AFCON tournament due to his role in preventing the South African team from reaching the finals.
While no violence has been reported, there have been messages threatening Nwabali, expressing displeasure with his performance. During the semi-final against Bafana Bafana, Nwabali showcased his skills by making crucial saves and stopping two penalties during the shootout.
