Don’t allow bad advisers to destroy Nigeria, masses are suffering – Ndume tells Tinubu

Ali Ndume, the senator representing Borno South, has criticized certain advisers around President Bola Tinubu for the current economic difficulties in the country.

In a statement on Friday, Ndume claimed that some individuals close to the president are promoting harmful policies aimed at destabilizing the government, rather than addressing inflation.

He noted that the rising costs of fuel, food, and essential goods have made life increasingly unaffordable for Nigerians.

“I truly believe President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has good intentions for Nigeria and its citizens. I know this because I understand his principles,” Ndume said.

“However, some of his advisers, who do not have the people’s best interests at heart, are giving him poor advice.

“I urge him to resist these individuals who are trying to turn the public against his administration.

“The suffering caused by these policies is becoming unbearable. I’m currently in Borno and can see firsthand the hardship. People are struggling, hungry, frustrated, and angry.

“In Borno State, many families can no longer afford to eat. The hardship from the constant price hikes is unimaginable.

“Farmers can’t even transport their produce due to high transportation costs.

“Those who manage to transport their goods increase the prices of food items, making it difficult for people to afford basic necessities.

“People are unable to travel anymore. A road trip from Abuja to Maiduguri, for example, now costs a fortune. How many of our people can afford that?

“I know President Tinubu wants the best for Nigerians, and he should not let a few misguided advisers destroy the country.

“This is why I am pleading with him to act before it’s too late. Testing the patience of Nigerians is unwise, and this is exactly what these bad advisers are doing.”

Ndume urged the president to immediately address the country’s economic challenges once he returns from his vacation in the United Kingdom (UK).
