Distribute Federal Govt Palliatives in Edo – opposition parties tell Obaseki
Isibor made this appeal while presenting awards to individuals who have significantly contributed to the socio-economic growth of Edo State.
The Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) in Edo State, led by Chairman Samson Isibor, has urged Governor Godwin Obaseki to distribute the federal government’s palliatives to address severe hunger in the state.
Isibor made this appeal while presenting awards to individuals who have significantly contributed to the socio-economic growth of Edo State.
The coalition also called on the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to scrutinize private broadcasting stations acting as opposition parties, emphasizing the need for cooperation between states and the central government.
Additionally, the CRPP urged Governor Obaseki to allow his deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu, the freedom to participate in elections, stressing the importance of providing a fair competition platform for all aspirants.
Award recipients included Dr. Osahon Enabulele, Rev. Fr. Andrew Obinyan, Hon Anemero Dekeri, and Senator Monday Okpebholo.
