The Director General of Kwara Hospital Management Board, Dr. Saad Aluko has lauded Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq-led administration for ensuring regular supply of Supplemental Oxygen to Infection Diseases Hospital, Sobi in Ilorin, to save more lives.
Dr. Saad Aluko gave the commendation while speaking with SHO PEN ONLINE in an interview this Afternoon at his office in Ilorin.
He stated that the current administration remodeled the state oxygen plant to ensure better healthcare delivery to the people of the state, Said the repairation was very timely as the use of Oxygen is a very important therapy of COVID-19.
Dr. Aluko explained that oxygen is equally a medication, said the state dosing COVID-19 Patients with known quality is imperative.
According to him “having our own plant has significantly help the state to monitor the purity of administered oxygen, thereby helping to save lives”
“The regular Oxygen Supply is Part of the reason why we have recorded higher Success rate despite the increase number of positive cases”
“It is also useful to indicate that the State has made all the service provision including feeding, accommodation, medications and indeed oxygen free for the admitted Covid-19 patients and also provide medications to patients that are managing themselves through self isolation”
Speaking Further, Dr. Aluko Noted that Kwara State is one of the few States that has a workable oxygen Plant in Nigeria, said CA-COVID who donated 70 medical Oxygen Cylinder was delighted over the progress of preparedness of the state in managing COVID-19 cases.
He said “We are very fortunate in Kwara to have a Governor that has a love of his people at heart and it is not only the management of COVID-19, He has also been touching the lives of every citizen through alot of intervention in alot of Ministries and parastatals”
“Words cannot even expressed the gratitude, Through our office here, We See cases every day because we are closer to people, and we can actually see that Hospital service quality has increased significantly in the state”
