Afrobeats sensation Davido has secured three nominations for the upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards, marking his debut in this prestigious lineup.
The 30-year-old artist, celebrated as one of Africa’s foremost talents alongside Grammy winners Wizkid and Burna Boy, received nods in categories such as Best Global Album for his latest release, “Timeless,” Best African Performance for “Unavailable,” and Best Global Music Performance for “Feel.”
Davido expressed his joy on Twitter, stating, “3 nominations at the Grammys!! Delay is not Denial!” Additionally, Olamide, Asake, and Ayra Starr earned their maiden nominations in the Best African Music Performance category.
Burna Boy, a previous Grammy winner, clinched recognition in four categories, including Best Global Music Album for “I Told Them”.
