Dapo Abiodun Becomes Chairman Of Southern Governors’ Forum

Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has been appointed as the new chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum.
He will be supported by Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State, who will serve as the deputy chairman.
This announcement was made by Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos State, following a lengthy meeting at the Presidential Lodge in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
In his acceptance speech, Governor Abiodun assured his colleagues of his commitment to leading the forum effectively, following the tenure of the late Rotimi Akeredolu, the former governor of Ondo State.
The meeting saw the attendance of thirteen governors and three deputies, although Governor Similayi Fubara of Rivers State was notably absent.
A detailed communique from the meeting is expected to be released soon.
