Coronation anniversary: Idofian Kingdom agog as Ogboye matriarch bagged ‘Otun Otun Iyaloja’ title

The Idofian Kingdom was agog with massive excitement amid pomp and funfare as the monarch, HRM Oba Adedamola Olarewaju (Ilufemiloye) Omikunle II, on Thursday January 2, 2024, confered the prestigious title of the ‘Otun Otun Iyaloja of Idofian Kingdom’ on Alhaja Adama Ahmed nee Ogboye, the matriarch of a seasoned youth leader, entrepreneur, and Director General of Oju-Ilu Political Movement, Mallam Soliu Ahmed Afolabi.

The all-important occasion featuring the conferment of hundreds of traditional titles by the monarch on illustrious sons and daughters of the Idofian Kingdom both home and in diaspora, marked his 1st year coronation anniversary on the throne of his forebears.

The conferment of the traditional titles in Idofian Kingdom kickstarted on December 31, 2024, an ancient honour dated to 1989 and 1994.

Held at the Idofian Multipurpose Hall, the eventful gathering demonstrated the rich deep culture and traditions of the Idofian Kingdom.

The ‘Otun Otun Iyaloja of Idofian Kingdom’, marks a significant recognition of the Ogboye ancestral family ‘s strong influence and royalty within the Kingdom.

As the Idofian Kingdom celebrates this milestone anniversary, the Ogboye family expressed gratitude to HRM Oba Adedamola Olarewaju (Ilufemiloye) Omikunle II, for the deep respect and honour bestowed upon them.
