#Chivido2024 : Davido, Chioma hold traditional wedding in Lagos

Nigerian singer Davido has officially tied the knot with his long-term partner, Chioma Rowland, in a traditional ceremony.

The opulent wedding took place on Tuesday at a private location in Lagos.

The couple wore matching burgundy outfits, while the groomsmen and bridal party were elegantly dressed in yellow.

Later, Davido and Chioma changed into regal white Igbo attire.

The event was attended by close friends, family, and notable figures, including Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke (Davido’s uncle), former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and the Ooni of Ife.

Chioma’s manager, Ubi Franklin, was seen wearing a female headpiece at the ceremony.

Davido had previously stated that Chioma’s wedding ring was worth the price of “two or three Rolls Royce cars.”

The singer shared a pre-wedding video on Monday ahead of their big day.

Davido proposed to Chioma in 2019, but their relationship faced difficulties in 2021 due to allegations of the singer being involved in another relationship.

The couple tragically lost their first child, Ifeanyi, on October 30, 2022.

In March 2023, Davido announced that he and Chioma had officially married.

“I traveled. I am married. A lot of different things but we are ready now to get back on the road,” he said.

The couple welcomed twins in the US in October 2023.
