The Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association on 30/12/2020 (Wednesday) present Royal Award to the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alh Muahammad Bashir Imam-Soliu for his contribution to the Ilorin emirate.
Presenting the award on behalf of the Association, the retired Justice S O Muhammed said the Association is a true community development with what they preaching for all the time.
Justice Muhammed said the Royal Award is unique and presentable in the world, applauding IEYDA for being in the forefront of community development.
Also speaking, an Ilorin-based Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Shafih Alaiye said the Chief Imam of Ilorin deserved it with his contribution in Islam, Ilorin emirate and state at large.
In his remark, the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Alh Muahammad Bashir Imam-Soliu thanked IEYDA for honoring him and promised his support for the growth of the association, kwara and Islam in general.
Alh Bashir Imam-Soliu charged the Association to sustain the tempo and other Associations, sons and daughters of Ilorin emirate to join hands with IEYDA to accelerate more growth in the state.
The National President of the Association, Alh Abdullahi Babatunde Salaudeen and National Publicity Secretary, Alh Muhammed Uthman Jagunma said the Chief Imam of Ilorin deserved the award based on his fatherly advised giving to the Association to succeed.
They also said the presentation of award to well-deserved individuals is part of the programmes of the Association to encourage them do more in the area of community development.
Others prominent personalities at the event include Prof Abdulateef Aremu from University of Ilorin and Sheikh Olopo-ewa among others.
