Chelsea and Manchester City played out a captivating 4-4 draw in a thrilling English Premier League (EPL) encounter at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

The match concluded with added-time drama as Chelsea scored a late penalty to share points with the EPL champions.

Both teams found the net twice in each half, with Erling Haaland, Manuel Akanji, and Rodri scoring for Manchester City, while Chelsea had four different scorers in Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling, Nicholas Jackson, and Cole Palmer.

The game saw Haaland opening the scoring from the penalty spot early on, but Chelsea responded with two quick goals, as Thiago Silva equalized with a header and Sterling put Chelsea ahead. Akanji’s header on the stroke of halftime leveled the score, and Haaland regained the lead for Manchester City with a converted low cross.

Jackson restored parity on 68 minutes with a rebound, and Rodri’s deflected strike seemed to secure the win for City at 4-3. However, Palmer’s expertly converted penalty in added time ensured the points were shared.

The exhilarating encounter at Stamford Bridge ended with Manchester City maintaining their top position with 28 points from 12 matches, just one point ahead of second-placed Liverpool. Chelsea moved up to 10th position in the league.
