By-Election : Umahi’s Brother, Austin, declares for Ebonyi South Senate Seat

Austin Umahi, the sibling of David Umahi, the former minister of works, has announced his candidacy for the upcoming Ebonyi South senatorial district by-election scheduled for February 3, 2024.
The election follows the resignation of his older brother, who vacated the seat after being appointed into President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.
Speaking at a press conference in Abakaliki, Austin Umahi, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emphasized the importance of a transparent democratic process and pledged to provide constituents with effective representation.
He encouraged other aspirants to participate, aiming to bring positive change to the district.
