Burna Boy becomes first Nigerian to sell-out 3 arenas in US

Nigerian Singer, Burna Boy has bagged another accolade to his records as he becomes the first African artist to have sold out three arenas in the US.

The rock star is likely to sell out another arena making it his fourth this coming Sunday in Atlanta. These arenas include Toyota Center with 19, 000 capacity, the State Farm with 21,000 capacity, the Hollywood Bowl with 17,000 capacity, and the MSG arena with 21,000 capacity.

The African giant as he is popularly called became famous in 2012 after the release of “Like to Party,” the first song off his debut studio album, L.I.F.E.

In 2019. Burna boy along with Mr Eazi, was announced as one of the performers at the 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. At the Soundcity MVP Awards Festival, he took home four honours, including African Artiste of the Year, Listener’s Choice, and Best Male MVP.

He was the first Afrobeat musician to sell out the SSE Arena in November 2019 (formerly known as the Wembley Arena). To recognize his accomplishment, he received a special plaque.

On the 8th of July, 2022, Burna boy released ‘Love, Damini’ his sixth studio album. The album was preceded by two singles “Last Last” and “Kilometre”.

It is reported that no single African artist has 1 Arena to their name, meanwhile, Burna Boy has three as he is set to perform in its fourth arena in the coming days.
