The immediate-past Personal Assistant to the President on Social Media, Bashir Ahmad, has lost the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives’ primaries in Kano State.
The former presidential aide was aspiring for the Reps seat of Gaya/Ajingi/Albasu Federal Constituency.
He was however defeated by Abdullahi Mahmood Gaya, the incumbent lawmaker representing the Kano Constituency, in the National Assembly.
The medium gathered that Mahmood Gaya secured 109 votes in the shadow poll to trounce Ahmad who got a paltry 16 votes.
However, in a post on his social media page, Bashir Ahmad lamented the use of thugs in elections stating that: “As an aspirant, I left the venue of primary election for Gaya, Ajingi and Albasu Federal Constituency, because of the security of our majority delegates, if I want to compete with the best, thugs shouldn’t be part of any election. A dakace mu!”
