Buhari: Security, Economy Improved Significantly Under My Administration

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that Nigeria witnessed significant improvements in security and the economy during his eight-year tenure.

Speaking on Wednesday when he received members of the Katsina State Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists at his country home in Daura, Katsina State, Buhari noted that his administration made notable progress in addressing the security and economic challenges that plagued the country before 2015.

He emphasized that the policies and strategies implemented under his leadership played a crucial role in mitigating the threats of terrorism and economic decline, which he inherited from previous administrations.

Buhari further remarked that only those in positions of power could fully grasp the complexities and obstacles involved in governance, acknowledging that leaders often face significant challenges in policy implementation.

“Security and the economy improved significantly under my administration compared to what we met in 2015. Things will continue to improve in Nigeria,” he asserted.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Correspondents’ Chapel, Katsina State, Alhaji Yusuf Jargaba, commended Buhari for his efforts in tackling terrorism, banditry, and other security threats during his tenure.

He lauded the former president’s dedication and commitment, stating that his leadership helped sustain the unity of the country.
