Buhari mourns as Ex- Nigeria’s Minister dies

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed sorrow over the passing of Ogbonnaya Onu, a former minister of science and technology, who passed away at the age of 73.
Onu reportedly fell ill after the 2022 All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary and underwent treatment abroad for six months.
In a statement released by Garba Shehu, spokesperson for the former president, Buhari conveyed his condolences to Onu’s family and the government of Abia state, describing him as one of the nation’s foremost scientific minds and intellectuals.
Buhari also reminisced about their shared history in the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) when Onu served as its national chairman and praised Onu’s role in the merger that led to the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2013.
