Bobrisky, the well-known and controversial crossdresser, has been released from the Kirikiri Correctional Center.

The social media personality was freed on Monday morning.

In widely circulated footage, she is seen inside a luxury car leaving the prison with two friends, enjoying the song ‘Egwu’ by Chike and the late singer Mohbad.

In another video, the self-proclaimed ‘Mummy of Lagos’ can be seen greeting fans who gathered to welcome her.

“Hello guys, it’s your Mummy of Lagos… I have missed you guys so much. I can’t wait to give you what you’ve missed,” she said.

Bobrisky, whose real name is Idris Okuneye, was sentenced to six months in prison on April 12 by Lagos high court judge Abimbola Awogboro for abusing the naira.

Judge Awogboro ruled that the sentence, which began on March 24, the day of her arrest, was without the option of a fine.

In April, Bobrisky, facing four counts of naira abuse, filed an appeal challenging the six-month sentence, hoping the court of appeal would reduce it to a N50,000 fine per count.
