BFCYDA holds first Balogun Fulani Youth Summit

A community development coalition; Balogun Fulani Constituency Youth Development Association (BFCYDA) has held the maiden edition of Balogun Fulani youth summit themed “Education and Entrepreneurial Development As Panacea to Youth Development.”

The program which is aimed at engaging Balogun Fulani youths and stakeholders to address some issues and proffer possible solutions, took place on Saturday at Balogun Fulani compound in Ilorin, Kwara state capital.

In his opening remarks, the association president; Comrade Salaudeen Hassan Taiye explained that the aims and objectives of the association is to foster community unity and development through the collective participation of all youths in the constituency.

He said the association since it’s establishment in 1991 (32-years ago) has recorded a great number of achievements, thereby organizing annaul summer lesson, facilitating employments, scholarship and supporting the needy in the society.

The President therefore appreciated the individuals who have supported the association morally and financially and the members for their unwavering support.

Comrade Salaudeen however called on the youths and stakeholders of the constituency to come together and unite to find innovative solutions and create an environment where financial constraints are minimized and the readiness of youths to participate in the constituency association is enhanced.

The Guest lecturers, Alfa Tafsir Asunara; Dr. Abdulrahman Mustapha from Kwara state university and Sheikh Sulyman Olayinka Kasandubu, in their separate lectures stressed on the importance of community development.

Meanwhile the house of representatives member representing Ilorin East and Ilorin South federal constituenc; Hon Yinka Aluko and Kwara House of Assembly member representing Ilorin South constituency; Hajia Mariam Yusuf Aladi, both in their separate remarks commended BFCYDA for contributing towards the development of Balogun Fulani constituency.
