Bayelsa Poll : We won’t count votes in polling units where there’s violence – INEC Chair

INEC’s Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, declared that in the Bayelsa governorship election, the electoral body won’t tally votes in any polling unit where violence erupts.

Yakubu stated that in case of violence, affected polling units will not witness a vote recount.

He highlighted the preparedness in staff training, material distribution, and voter education.

The Police Commissioner, Mr. Tolani Alausa, assured adequate security measures, mentioning the deployment of significant police personnel and tactical units to maintain peace during the election.
