Bauchi Gov donates N10 million to security outfits after ‘killing 60 kidnappers’

Bala Mohammed, the Bauchi State governor, has announced a donation of N10 million to support security efforts in response to a recent operation in Tafawa Balewa LGA.
During the operation, security forces successfully neutralized 60 kidnappers and rescued 29 abducted individuals, showcasing the collaborative efforts of the police, vigilantes, and hunters.
Expressing his gratitude during a visit to the recently attacked Lere community, Governor Mohammed commended the community’s bravery and emphasized his administration’s commitment to addressing the growing security concerns in Bauchi.
He also acknowledged the role of the police and other security agencies in maintaining order.
As a token of support, Governor Mohammed contributed 30 motorcycles and N10 million to bolster the capabilities of the local security outfits.
Awwal Muhammad, the state’s commissioner of police, affirmed their dedication to working closely with other security agencies to ensure the safety of the community and to continue efforts to rescue remaining kidnapped victims.
