Atiku reacts to Betta Edu’s suspension
Atiku, however, deems the suspension as overdue and questions Edu’s initial appointment, highlighting concerns about political considerations over competence.
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s presidential candidate, has praised President Bola Tinubu for suspending Minister Betta Edu from the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
Atiku, however, deems the suspension as overdue and questions Edu’s initial appointment, highlighting concerns about political considerations over competence.
He calls for broader reforms within the ministry, asserting that the alleged financial irregularities involving Edu are symptomatic of a systemic issue within the All Progressives Congress government’s handling of interventionist programs.
Atiku further urges a thorough investigation into others who may have improperly benefited from funds designated for poverty alleviation.
