Atiku Accuses Tinubu of Submitting Forged Certificates to INEC
The 2023 presidential candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, reiterated his accusation against President Bola Tinubu, claiming that Tinubu breached regulations by presenting falsified certificates to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
At a press conference, Atiku emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity in the electoral process and stated that INEC should have barred Tinubu from contesting the presidential election due to the submission of allegedly forged documents.
Atiku highlighted, “This issue is fundamental to our reputation, the future of our nation, and the example we set for future generations. Clear evidence indicates that Tinubu’s qualifications were questionable, and he should have been disqualified from the election for presenting what appears to be a forged certificate to INEC.”
Atiku had previously taken legal action, appealing to the Supreme Court, presenting evidence alleging that Tinubu had submitted forged certificates purportedly from the Chicago State University (CSU) during the Election Petition Tribunal.
