Arsenal’s Lokonga may join Burnley
Sambi Lokonga has seen little game time since joining Arsenal from Anderlecht in 2021.
Arsenal are willing to let Sambi Lokonga leave Mikel Arteta’s side for their Premier League rival Burnley.
Sambi Lokonga has seen little game time since joining Arsenal from Anderlecht in 2021.
The 23-year-old managed just 12 league starts in his first season of English football while scoring two goals in the following campaign for the Gunners.
Given his lack of game time, he was sent on loan to Premier League side Crystal Palace during the second half of last season.
However, he failed to cement his place in Palace’s line-up, starting just six matches for the club.
But Burnley manager Vincent Kompany is an admirer of Sambi Lokonga, and he is keen to work with the player next season.
Arsenal and Burnley are reportedly close to reaching a deal that would see the midfielder join Vincent Kompany’s side on a loan deal this summer transfer window, according to the Mirror UK
