Arsenal have unveiled their newly signed player Declan Rice with a hit song by Odumodublvck, the Nigerian rapper.
Rice joined Arsenal from West Ham United on Saturday. The deal taking Rice to Arsenal is worth £105 million, the highest paid by the North London club for any player.
The football club shared a video of the player on Twitter with ‘Declan Rice’, a hit song by Odumodublvck playing in the background.
The rapper also took to social media to congratulate the footballer.
“Congrats to my boy on your new adventure @declanrice with the @arsenal,” he wrote.
“God bless everyone involved in this milestone, my producers. Abuja Stand Up.”
The rapper released ‘Declan Rice’ in March in honour of the football player.
In a recent interview, the rapper said he and Declan Rice are now friends.
“I made a video vibing to the song. I posted it and Declan Rice was like jeez the song is fire. Now we are friends,” he said.
“He is texting me that he has to come to Nigeria even if it’s only for two days. He said the next time I am performing he has to be on stage with me.
“I am like this has to be God. I cannot take credit for any of this, it was all God. So that was how I linked up with Declan.”
Born Tochukwu Ojogwu, Odumodublvck is known for his stage performance and genre-blend.
In 2022, he signed a record deal with NATIVE Records, in partnership with Def Jam Recordings
