Arsenal delivered a historic 7-1 beating of PSV Eindhoven in their UEFA Champions League (UCL) Round of 16 first-leg clash, becoming the first team to score seven away goals in a UCL knockout stage match.

Six different Gunners found the net, with Martin Odegaard scoring twice, while Jurrien Timber, Ethan Nwaneri, Mikel Merino, Leandro Trossard, and Riccardo Calafiori also contributed. PSV’s only response came through Noa Lang’s penalty before Arsenal ran riot in the second half.

The victory extends Arsenal’s UCL winning streak to five, equaling their 2005/06 record, and marks their third consecutive away win in the competition for the first time since 2015. PSV, meanwhile, suffered their worst-ever home defeat in European competition.
