The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially initiated its campaign for the upcoming Kogi governorship election, with President Bola Tinubu setting his sights on creating 500,000 job opportunities through the revitalization of the Ajaokuta Steel Complex.

The campaign event, scheduled for November 11th, took place in Lokoja, the state capital, on Sunday. Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, emphasized the potential of the Ajaokuta Steel Complex to attract investments to Nigeria and bolster the nation’s economy.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced on Sunday that, as the previously abandoned Ajaokuta Steel Complex approaches completion, it will be capable of providing employment for 500,000 Nigerians once it’s designated as a free trade zone,” stated Stanley Nkwocha, media aide to Shettima.
