The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed key figures, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, Senator Saliu Mustapha, and Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Betty Edu, to prominent roles within its Standing Committees.
The announcement came from APC National Secretary Senator Basiri Ajisola, who disclosed that Akpabio and Mustapha would serve on the Finance Committee, while Gbajabiamila and other ministers and politicians would be part of the Intergovernmental Committee.
The decision, in accordance with the APC constitution and resolutions from the 123rd meeting of the National Working Committee on September 21, 2023, aims to enhance the party’s decision-making processes.
Saliu Mustapha, the Turaki of Ilorin, will be inaugurated along with others on December 6, 2023, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
This appointment recognizes Mustapha’s noteworthy contributions to the party’s development, particularly his active role in the merger that led to the formation of the APC in 2013.
