Akpabio Warns Nigerians against Fake Senate Loan Scam
The misleading scheme falsely offers a “N200,000 Palliative Loan By the Senate” with a deceptive image of Senator Akpabio, the coat of arms, and the Central Bank of Nigeria’s logo.

The Senate President’s office, led by Godswill Akpabio, has issued a warning about a fraudulent online loan application circulating on social media platforms.
The misleading scheme falsely offers a “N200,000 Palliative Loan By the Senate” with a deceptive image of Senator Akpabio, the coat of arms, and the Central Bank of Nigeria’s logo.
The public is advised to ignore the fake advertisement, clarifying that it didn’t originate from the Senate President’s office but is a ploy by fraudsters exploiting unsuspecting Nigerians.
The official spokesperson, Hon Eseme Eyiboh, emphasized the Senate’s lack of affiliation with the account named Templeshort on Facebook and stressed that Senator Akpabio is not involved in any loan or palliative program with the CBN or any financial institution.
The public is strongly urged to be cautious, as these deceitful tactics target unsuspecting individuals. Any suspicious activities should be reported to the appropriate authorities.
