Akaje doles out cash gift, gadgets to Agbaji Residents

Former Kwara state commissioner for Urban and Rural development; Ambassador Ibrahim Akaje, on Sunday empowered women and youths in his community, Agbaji in Ilorin west LGA of Kwara State.

Items distributed at the event includes; Laptops, Modern Standing Fans and Cash gifts.

The mini empowerment programme which was held at Agbaji, Ilorin West, Kwara state featured special prayer in support of the state Governor, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq re-election bid

While Speaking with our men shortly after the program, Amb. Akaje explains the reasons behind the gesture is to reciprocate the bestowed on him by the good people of Agbaji when he was aspiring for Kwara House assembly seat.

He said; ” I left home for an assignment in Lagos and from there we moved to Abuja for the national convention of our Party APC. So the means of appreciation to my people is to come home so that we can rejoice over many things paramountaly over the victory of the national leader of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the flag bearer of our APC to contest in the 2023 general election which we believe by the special Grace of God we will have all course to rejoice again.

“This is a gesture to the good people of APC Ajikobi Agbaji ward for the support they rendered for me always most importantly for the government of Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the masses governor. I’m here to show appreciation in kind and in cash to my people for the support they had while I was aspiring for the post of Ilorin North/West/Ajikobi/Alanamu constituency in Kwara House of assembly

“Primarily, that’s why we are here today to dole out cash empowerment and gadgets like Standing Fan, Laptop among others. Also a cartilage sister, Ajara whose business has gone down but with the support of our brother and friend Ambassador Abdulfatah Yahaya Seriki we are able to gathered the sum of 200,000 cash empowerment which was presented to her.”

Speaking further, Akaje advised the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by using the opportunity to solve their problems.

He said: “The best of gesture is the one that go to the people that really need it and the best of reciprocation is for the benefiaries to utilize it to solve their problem and to support their immediate community. I will appeal to those to that are yet to benefit from the empowerment to keep working hard, we will reciprocate it further.”

He however, urged the people of his community and Kwarans in general to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to try, strive and do more to ensure the victory of Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq in the coming 2023 general election. “And Insha Allah we shall record success as we had it in 2019.” Akaje said.

The beneficiaries in their separate interviews with our correspondence appreciated Amb Akaje for his gesture, beseeching God’s protection on him.

Similarly, Akaje Also donated Islamic Materials and Qur’an memorization aids to the young girl who was identified as Habeeba Akaje, who went viral on social media platforms for recitating Quran while hawking in the city of Ilorin few days back.
