Again, NPFL Postpones Kickoff Date for 2023/24 Season
The NPFL Board announced this postponement in a statement issued on Wednesday.
The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) has once again delayed the commencement of the 2023/24 season.
The NPFL Board announced this postponement in a statement issued on Wednesday.
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the NPFL, Davidson Owumi, made this decision after consulting with various stakeholders.
He stated, “We were all geared up for the kickoff in Ibadan on Saturday, but after considering input from multiple stakeholders, particularly the intricate logistics involved in having our Chairman and Clubs’ leadership travel from Ibadan to Uyo, we’ve decided to postpone the flag-off game scheduled for this Saturday, September 9, as originally planned.”
This change has been communicated to the clubs that might have already made preparations for the season, which was initially slated to begin on August 26 before the September date.
