After supreme court verdict, Atiku to address Nigerians on Monday

Following the recent ruling by the Supreme Court, Atiku is scheduled to address critical matters on Monday. Atiku Abubakar, the former Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is set to hold a press conference at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja. The conference will focus on significant national issues, as stated by the PDP in their announcement.

This announcement comes in the aftermath of the Supreme Court’s dismissal of appeals filed by Atiku and Peter Obi of the Labour Party regarding President Bola Tinubu’s election victory.

The court affirmed the presidential petition tribunal’s decision, upholding Tinubu’s win in the February 25 presidential election. Despite Atiku’s request to present new evidence from Tinubu’s academic records, the Supreme Court rejected this plea.

Atiku had previously emphasized concerns about alleged discrepancies and forgeries in Tinubu’s academic records from the Chicago State University.

On October 5, Atiku had expressed during an international press conference his intention to cease pursuing his case against Tinubu following the Supreme Court’s judgment.
