After a 30-day break, senators are scheduled to resume their plenary session in Abuja on Tuesday, January 30.
This marks their first return in 2024, as the initially planned date of January 23 was extended by one week.
Commencing the break on December 30, the lawmakers took a full Christmas and New Year hiatus shortly after approving the N28.7 trillion 2024 budget in collaboration with the House of Representatives.
