AFCON 2021: Iheanacho early strike helps Nigeria defeats Egypt

Leicester forwarder Kelechi Promise Ịheanachọ scored in the first half to help Nigeria super eagles to win 1-0 over Egypt in the Group D of the 33rd Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday in Garoua.
Iheanacho’s goal put Nigeria ahead in the 30th minute of the game, with a shot into the top-left corner of the goalpost.
Leicester City’s attacker scored the brilliant through an assist from the Union Berlin striker, Taiwo Awoniyi.
Super Eagles dominated the first quarter of the game, pinning down Egypt’s main man, Mohamed Salah.

In the 25th minute, Moses Simon missed an opportunity, hitting the side net.
Awoniyi narrowly scored the Super Eagles’ second goal in the 37th and 41st minutes but was stopped by Egypt’s goalkeeper, El Shenawy
