Adeleke’s PDP Wins All 30 LGAs in Osun Council Election Amid Controversy

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won all chairmanship and councillorship seats in Osun State’s 30 local government areas.
Osun State Independent Electoral Commission (OSSIEC) Chairman, Hashim Abioye, announced the results despite warnings from the police and Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Lateef Fagbemi, to suspend the poll.
Governor Ademola Adeleke, who voted in Ede North, described the election as peaceful. However, OSSIEC accused the police of sealing its headquarters and arresting personnel.
The election followed a Court of Appeal ruling that reinstated APC council chairmen, sparking clashes between PDP and APC members, resulting in at least six deaths.
