It is with great sadness that I pen this on the passing of Justice Mutalib Ambali, the former Grand Khadi of Kwara State. Justice Ambali was an exemplary person who dedicated his life to the promotion of justice, fairness, and equity in his community. He was a fearless and impartial judge who upheld the principles of Islamic jurisprudence and was widely respected for his integrity and professionalism.

As the President of Abibakr As-Sidiq Philanthropic Home, I had the privilege of knowing Justice Ambali and witnessing firsthand his commitment to promoting Islam and its values. He was a mentor to many and always encouraged people to strive for excellence in all their endeavors. He believed that education was the key to progress and worked hard to promote education in his community.

Justice Ambali’s contributions to the development of Kwara State and the nation as a whole were numerous and far-reaching. He was a member of several Islamic organizations and served as the Chairman of the Muslim Lawyers Association of Nigeria, Kwara State Chapter. He was also a member of the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) and the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA).

In recognition of his exemplary service to his community and the nation, Justice Ambali was honored with several awards and recognitions, including the Kwara State Merit Award and the National Productivity Order of Merit Award. He was a true leader and an inspiration to all of us.

The passing of Justice Mutalib Ambali is a great loss to his family, the legal profession, and the entire nation. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. We pray that Allah (SWT) grants him Jannatul Firdaus and gives his family the strength and patience to bear this loss.

May Justice Ambali’s legacy continue to inspire generations of Nigerians to strive for excellence, uphold the principles of justice and fairness, and work towards the promotion of Islam and its values.
