50 SMEs Benefit from Kalia’s Empowerment Programme

The Council Member, International Vocational, Technology and Entrepreneurship College (IVTEC), Hon. Ibrahim Kale Jimoh has provided support funds to advance small and medium scale business owners in Ilorin Central Constituency which comprises of Baboko/Badari/Magaji Ngeri/Oko-Erin/Warah-Osin wards.

The program which was held at ECWA Primary School, Oja-Iya, Ilorin on 21st of November Sunday, 2021.

According to Ibrahim Jimoh, “being a small and medium scale business owner is not a joke. Not only does this role ask for focus and passion but it requires a certain resilience and financial pillar. This prompt the rationale behind this initiative.

It’s commendable that Kwara State Government under the leadership of His Excellency, Mall. Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq has left no stone unturned in improving the business status and wellness of thousands small and medium enterprises as well as creating new, young and vibrant entrepreneurs.

It’s in view of this, that, I, Ibrahim Kale Jimoh thought it through to complement the efforts of the government of Kwara State to advance small and medium scale enterprise around Ilorin Central Constituency.

It’s encouraging to note that, this maiden initiative is tagged “Olawoyin SMEs Advancement Program (OSAP) and it’s designed in honour of Hon. Olawoyin Magaji Abubakar, Leader of the House, Kwara State House of Assembly, who has consistently devoted his resources towards human capital development, effective legislative responsibility among others.

The program also captured presentation of art work by Abdulwaliy Muhammed, an SS 1 student of ECWA Secondary School who drew a portrait of HE Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq. He was subsequently awarded full scholarship and cash prizes by Hon. Abubakar Olawoyin Magaji, Alh. Yekini Bukoye, Hon. Soliu Bamidele Aluko, Alh. Tunde Aluko, Hajia Habibat Abike Gbojua Olawoyin Vanguard, Olawoyin Progressive Women and Kalia Footwear Production.

The event had in attendance dignitaries from the ruling All Progressive Congress in Kwara State – Chairman, Governing Council, International Vocational, Technical and Entrepreneurship College IVTEC, Alh. Yekini Bukoye; Ilorin West APC Chairman, Sulaiman Tejidini; Chairman, KWARMA, Hon. Bolakale Rufai Oloje; Council Member, National Broadcasting Commission, Hon. Soliu Bamidele Aluko; Chairman, Governing Council, Herald Newspaper, Alh. Tunde Aluko; Woman Leader, Gbojua Group, Alhaja Habibat Abike; Council Member, Kwara State House of Assembly, Hajia Bashirat Kolawole; Alh. Muhammad Aluko, Alh. Sola Muse and the host of others.
