Ahead of the 2023 general elections, The Lawmaker Representing Lanwa/Ejidongari constituency, Hon John Olarewaju Bello has declared his intention to run for a second term in office.
Hon. John who is the Deputy House leader at the state assembly made his declaration during a meeting with constituents in Babadudu ward, Sheji community.
According to him, “As stipulated by the Nigerian Constitution, our tenure will end next year. In this period of three years, I have served in several capacities, representing and protecting the interest of my constituency to foster development at all levels.”
“This is why I am today, with utmost humility, formally declaring my ambition to run for the second term as Honourable representing Lanwa/Ejidongari in the Kwara State Assembly, on the platform of our great party, the All Progressives Congress.”
“If by the grace of God and the will of the people, I am given the opportunity, then I believe that first, we must complete what we have started”
“I now most solemnly and respectfully seek the support of fellow constituents everywhere in this state, Local Government, young and old, male and female, in the great and exciting journey that we have ahead of us.” Bello Concluded.
Kwara North APC Senatorial Chairman, Alh Sulaiman Muhammed (Santo) and other chieftains of the party who witnessed the event commended bello for giving his constituents quality representation, Declared their unalloyed support for him ahead of the forthcoming elections.
John Bello’s declaration is coming 24hours after some aspirants stepped down for him ahead of the party primaries.
