2023 : I see myself as the next Kwara Governor, says LP Guber candidate


As the 2023 general election draws nearer, the Gubernatorial candidate of Labour Party in Kwara state, Comrade Basambo Abubakar, has said that he see himself as the candidate that will replace the incumbent Gov Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq led APC administration in the state.


He Stated this on Monday when he featured as a guest on Sho Pen Online’s Elite Chat.


Basambo who described himself as a youth that has the intellectual capability to govern Kwara, alleged that “the ruling All Progressive Congress are putting artificial infrastructure in the state.


According to him, “Everybody deserve an opportunity to exercise his franchise right and to give the best of himself to his community and society, The popular saying that youth are assume to be inexperience is not applicable, because a particular youth that deemed it fit to see himself to be as the best to run for a position must have gone through a lot of processing.”


“Being a youth is an advantage for me, because nowadays, youths are more better informed and I want to see a more progressive society than before, so, I have no doubt in my mind that come 2023, our party is producing next president and I see myself as next governor of Kwara state.”


The Former students’ Union leader further stated that “Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is putting artificial infrastructure in Kwara and he is calling it real infrastructure. Meanwhile, the real infrastructure start from making sure people get employment.”

Basambo who said that, 2023 is the time for ordinary young men and women to stand up and take the country back from the people who has been in government, Promised that If he emerge as Kwara Governor, he will make sure that he create an enabling environment where business can thrive, because of the high rate of unemployment in the state.

He therefore advised the the good of Kwara state to canvas and vote for Labour Party from the National level to the State House of Assembly level.
