A women’s political group in Kwara State has called on various stakeholders, especially people in positions of authority to create more opportunities for more women in order to improve their participation in critical decision making processes.
The State Coordinator, AA Elegant Ladies (ELELAD) Fatimah Asabe Jiyah, made this call in a statement made available to pressmen in Ilorin the Kwara State Capital.
She said pushing more women into various political offices should be taken as a priority by all, especially by the people in positions of authority considering the important roles of women in the society.
Commemorating the occasion of International Women’s Day, AA Elegant Ladies (ELELAD) congratulate all women across the world and salute their courage for always being women of substance at all times.
“I commend the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his gesture in appointing more women in his cabinet since his assumption in office, we urge other State Governors to emulate him”, the statement added.
