10th KWHA : Maryam Yusuf Aladi hosts constituents to Inauguration Party

The Deputy Chief Whip of kwara State House of Assembly and member representing Ilorin South constituency, Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi on Tuesday hosts inauguration party for Ilorin South constituents.

This came shortly after she took the oath of office at the assembly complex.

The gatherings which provides for the lawmaker a means of expressing gratitude for the support received during the campaign and post elections, took place at Arca Santa events hall, Offa Garage road, in Ilorin the state capital.

During the event, prayers were offered for the success of Aladi in office as member representing Ilorin South constituency, and souvenirs were presented to the lawmaker.

In his sermon, a renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Al-Khalifa Umar Sohibul-Bayan, urged Aladi to deliver on her campaign promises, adding that, “you must be accessible to your constituents, because they are the ones that took you to this state of power.”

Earlier, the lawmaker in her address, appreciated the good people of Ilorin South constituency for their unwavering support during her aspiration and after the elections.

While pledging to ensure good representation of the constituency, Hon. Maryam Yusuf Aladi called for togetherness among Ilorin South constituents, noting that, “irrespective of our political affiliations, let us come and work together for the betterment of our dear local government and the state at large.”

She however appreciated the State Governor and chairman Nigeria Governors Forum, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for ensuring that women are not excluded in governance and decision making in the state.

In his vote of thanks, Barrister Isiaq Yusuf Aladi who is the husband of the lawmaker, implored Ilorin South constituents to rally round the Deputy Chief Whip of kwara State House of Assembly and member representing Ilorin South constituency, in discharging her duty as a lawmaker protecting their interest.

The event was well attended by Religious Leaders, APC state executives, Friends and families of Hon Aladi.

It was a felicitation galore for Aladi as Popular Fuji Musician, Alh Fatai Marshal performed for friends, family and associates of the lawmaker who converged to celebrate and express their joy.
